The Big Bang Theory TV Show

Many great moments in what arguably was the best episode this season. The focus of the episode was thankfully not on Leonard and Penny, but Sheldon and Penny, notably Sheldon’s attempts to condition Penny to his liking. With Penny staying at their apartment for an extended period, Sheldon has to put up with Penny’s disturbance into his normal procedure which is hilariously shown by the opening. Whenever she does something he likes, he gives her a chocolate. Leonard is confused at first, but figures out what Sheldon is doing and displeased. Later, Leonard and Penny go to have sex, and Sheldon realizes that sex is a good behavioral modifier.

Howard and Rajesh pretend to be goths and even go as far as procuring tattoo sleaves to be more goth. They go to a goth club to pick up goth girls. As unlikely as it sounds, they actually pickup 2 girls after a funny and awkward conservation and they end up going to a tattoo parlor. Howard is about to get a tattoo when he chickens out and reveals himself and Raj as frauds. The girls leave since they are actually goths. In the back of my mind was actually expecting the girls to also reveal they were also fake goths. I’m not sure why I would think that, since there hasn’t been that precedent on the show, and the girls seemed gothish, but even to the very end, I had that lingering feeling.

Episode 3 was it was comparably light on Leonard and Penny, and featured Sheldon trying to control another human being which is totally a Sheldon thing to do. The Howard and Raj excursion was absurdly funny, especially as they described their fantasies to each other at the end of the episode.
